Research activities

      At the interface between mechanics and applied mathematics, my research works focus on the development and implementation of advanced numerical methods, primarily isogeometric, for solid mechanics. These methods not only cover efficient direct simulation but also address optimization and/or inverse problems, such as those encountered in the field of numerical photomechanics.
      Scientific Computing: non-linear computational solid mechanics.
      Isogeometric Analysis: B-Splines and NURBS, CAD-analysis link.
      Numerical modeling of shells: shell finite elements, locking, mixed methods, B-bar projection, reduced integration, hourglass control.
      Domain coupling methods and high-performance computing: domain decomposition, non-invasive coupling, fictitious domain methods.
      Optimization and inverse problems: structural shape optimization, data assimilation, identification, digital image correlation, image-based models, hybrid coupling of PDE models and neural networks.
