<<Clifford geometric algebra of the Euclidean plane E²>>

 

Abstract: This algebra invented by W. K. Clifford in 1976 was published in 1882 and in another paper in 1878. The success of the generalizations to other dimensions of this algebra became much more fruithful after rediscovery by physicists such as P.A.M. Dirac in 1917. These algebras appear as very powerful in different areas such as the study of elementary particles and the construction of new cosmologies.
We present a simple construction of the Clifford algebra Cl₂ of the Euclidean vectorial plane E² and study its main properties.
