Marina Ferreira joined the Toulouse Mathematics Institute in the PDE Team as a CNRS Researcher. She took also part of the Mathematics, biology and health group.

She works on the analysis of kinetic equations and particle-based models arising in applications in physics and biology. In particular, her work focuses on Smoluchowski coagulation-type equations and dense hard-particle systems, using tools ranging from nonconvex optimization and scientific computing to functional analysis and measure theory.
