About ALPE

The Séminaire ALPE is a joint organization between Montpellier, Toulouse and (since 2024) Barcelona. The séminaire brings together mathematicians for presentations on topics related to algebraic geometry and algebraic topology. ALPE currently takes place roughly twice a year, alternating locations and is currently organized by Ricardo Campos (IMT), Joost Nuiten (IMT), Sylvain Brochard (IMAG), Damien Calaque (IMAG), and Joana Cirici (UB).

Next Events

The next ALPE will take place in Montpellier on 9-10 December, 2024. We intend to organise the following ALPE in Barcelona in 2025.

History of ALPE

The first version of ALPE was created in 2010 by Bertrand Töen and Michel Vaquié under the name "séminaire TEOZ" and ran until 2013. In 2019 the séminaire got reinstated under the name of ALPE, standing for "Au dela de la Ligne de Partage des Eaux" (beyond the watershed). Former organizers include Bertrand Töen, Michel Vaquié, Dario Beraldo and Tristan Bozec.
